Last night I had dinner, showered, did box office stuff and then lay on the couch. I was going to start reading "Eclipse" but decided to see what was on TV. There's this show (and you probably know about it) on FOX called "Moment of Truth". I had heard about it, but never watched it. There was nothing else on so I decided to see what it was about. It was seriously ridiculous! This is a show for people with no brain activity whatsoever. Now, I love game shows, but come on....
The first guy in the "hot seat" was an EMT. The idiot, over-dramatic host starts asking him questions and then he would answer. Then there is this dramatic silence and a voice comes on and says if he answered truthfully or not. What was so ridiculous (as if the premise isn't ridiculous enough) is that he would answer "True" and then when the mysterious voice would answer "That is True" he would get all happy and relieved and be like "Yes...I got it right". The thing is it is a lie detector game, so why was he celebrating if he already knew he was telling the truth? One question he was asked was if he thought overweight people were weak. He replied "Yes" and the mystery voice says "That is true". Then he celebrates - it was like "Oh thank God, I really do hate fat people". I mean seriously? After that question that brought this big woman in from some fat people's rights organization to ask him the next question. It was all (supposed to be) dramatic and tense. Totally ridiculous. I turned the channel after 15 minutes. I can't believe people watch that show. Then I watched the worst movie ever made (No, not "Transformers", been there done that). I'll post on that here in a second.....
